Ras Al Khaimah is getting a Wynn Resorts hotel with a “gaming area”.
The well-known Las Vegas, Nevada property brand is coming to the UAE with a new “gaming” resort on Marjan Island that’s slated to open in 2026.
The RAK hotel is the first beach resort being developed by Wynn Resorts internationally.
In addition to a dedicated “gaming area”, the current plans include a 1,000-room hotel, a spa and even an upscale shopping mall. The forthcoming RAK Wynn resort will also have 10 restaurants and lounges as well as many more facilities, so you should be covered whether you’re staying for business, a mini-break or a longer holiday.
The Wynn resort in Ras Al Khaimah will fall under the newly launched Department of Entertainment and Gaming Regulation from the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA). The new division will focus on “integrated resorts in the emirate” and “the foremost priority of this new division is to create a robust framework that will ensure responsible gaming at all levels”.
Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is a picturesque area of the emirate made up of four man-made islands. The reclaimed land is known for its kilometres of pristine sandy beaches and glittering Gulf views. There are already high-end hotels on Marjan Island, like the Rixos Bab Al Bahr and Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island. The spot is popular for staycations in the UAE.
Wynn isn’t the only Las Vegas brand to come to the United Arab Emirates. Caesars Palace has Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai. The 194-room hotel is right next to Ain Dubai.
